  • VSL and Logic - Hyperdraw

    Hi,

I use Logic to arrange and produce VSL-Strings. For a perfect workflow I'm locking for a solution for the following problems:

I have a instr.-track in Logic in which I load the vsl-samples and in which I record an edit the notes, f.e. 1. violine. More over I open 3 dublikated tracks to record an edit Velocity-X-Fade, Keyswitches and Volume. I like this workflow, because everything is clearly laid out.

    1. Which CCs do you use to send and record Velocity-X-Fade and Volume-data? Till now I used CC18 and CC19, but the visualization in the Logic-pianorole-hyper-draw-window shows dB-data for CC18 and bypass-data for CC19.

    2. Can Logic show more than one hyper-draw-data in time in the pianorole-window? It would be great clicking on the note-part of the 1. violine in Logic and watch all the data (notes, volume, velocity) belonging to this 1. violine-part.

    Thanks!

  • Just to put this post up again. No idea?

  • Hi Nico,

I use ctrl 2 (breath) for the Velocity Xfade and ctrl 11 for Expression.

The Volume I always control via the automation track.

Unfortunately as far as I know it is not possible to show multiple hyperdraw events at once in Logic, which I find annoying also...

    2. The Hyper Editor can be used to show note velocity, pan, modulation, etc. at the same time. It's not as good as being able to see all these in the Piano Roll, but it might help.

  • Thank you, guys. I will try that out.
