    If this is a duplicate post, I apologize. I submitted it twice and got an error message each time.

    I have a Novation Remote Zero SL that I use with my Vienna Instruments String Collections. For some reason, I can no longer get the VI interface to respond to the controllers on the Remote Zero SL. I created a template in the Remote Zero template editor and placed it in slot 36. However, while I know that the template was uploaded to the hardware unit from the PC, I can't get the sliders to move virtual sliders on the screen, nor can I get sliders to Learn their functions. I was able to do this in the past. I only have a USB connection to USB port 1 and that has worked before. It doesn't work now and I don't think I need a MIDI connection to the unit. Does anyone use the Novation Remote Zero or other SL series controllers with Automap 3 Universal and Sonar 8 Producer Edition?

    Any response would be appreciated. If possible, I'd be grateful if you would also copy your responses to my direct e-mail address kevjazz@gmail.com, as I'm not sure I'll see notifications of responses. Also, upgrading to Automap 3.2 brought no joy.

    I use it everyday, and it works great. But, I never use automap because it's proven to be pretty much worthless. Also, I don't use Sonar, I'm on a Mac with DP and PT, so I'm not much help there. 

    If it's not working, I would forget automap for the time being and sort out your simple midi connection.  Sounds like you might have some driver conflict going on.

     I have no idea why I didn't receive this message in my e-mail.  A google search turned it up.  I'm sorry you don't use Sonar.  I hope someone can help me.  For my information, what Remote Series controller do you have and what is the version of your Remote Series controller's hardware OS, as distinct from the Automap server version.  I think mine is 4.13?  Unfortunately, as a blind person, it flashes on the screen when the unit powers up too quickly for me to read it.  What should the version be?  Is it 4.3 something?  I have a remote SL software version in that area and wonder if I need to install it.  I don't think I should have to.  Again, hopefully someone uses Vienna and Sonar 8.
