  • Can't open Directory Manager.

Says Administrator account is required to run Directory Manager.

I changed computers an moved stuff around. What's the answer here? Help needed.

My keys are all online too.

  • some of the stuff you moved around  obviously has no sufficient permisions now ...

i'd recommend to uninstall VI and/or VE, run a permission repair against your system volume (disk utility) and re-install VI/VE

please note: OS X behaves very different to OS 9 when transferring files or applications and correct permissions are important ...

  • I reloaded the latest version of VI and reloaded the folders but no instruments appear in either the player standalone or the plug.

The key registrations do show up in the player left though.  Do I have to reload them all from the disks again? All my files are in a folder called VSL on my main drive as they always have been. The only difference I now have a ne 09 8 core with raid, although I'm not using raid. The OSX is 10.5.8.

HELP, I need somebody, Not just anybody. H   E   L   P!  ...and bump

    Thanks

  • Excellent Christian, I posted over you I think. I forgot about permissions. I'll try that and be back.

  •  if the *simple procedure* above does not help you need to manually remove all VSL related stuff (not the library content, but everything related to the applications), re-install and re-run the directory manager.

also make sure the folder selected for custom data has read & write permissions ...

  • All better now and it even works in Snow Leppard. For some reason the new Lic control center needed to sniff around a few times.
