  • Problem bouncing to disk with Vienna Ensemble v2 4017

    I just upgraded to Vienna Ensemble 4017 on Mac (OS 10.6 Snow Leopard). In DP, eveything plays fine, even VE. But when comes the time to finish the project, I cannot bounce to disk anymore. All other virtual instruments bounce fine though.

    I even tried switching from Vienna Ensemble to Vienna Instruments. The Vienna Instruments work fine. The problem seems to exist only with Vienna Ensemble. 

    Anyone else experiencing something similar? Any fix possible? Can I downgrade back to the previous version of VE?

    I just reverted to version 3452. Not working anymore. It used to be working fine a few days ago... I don't get it, especially since Vienna Instruments work fine.

    Interestingly, I just noticed that while bouncing to disk, if I switch to the VE window, I see a "Loading Data Please Wait" message. With other VI like Play for example, this "reloading" process seems to take place BEFORE the actual bounce, instead of at the same time. Could it be a miscommunication problem between VE and the DAW software?

    I can reproduce this behaviour of VE here now, but it does not affect the bounce. Do your bounces work?

    No my VE bounces don't work. In fact, when I have two VE in a project, it seems that only one of the two VE can bounce. The other stays silent.

    If I only have one VE, it stays silent all the time in the bounce (but plays correctly).

    Hi

    I opened your project on 2 different Mac Pro´s with OS 10.5.8 and DP 6.02. I can bounce without problems and the bounced file plays back as it should. Launching DP 6.02 in OS 10.6.1 does not work here, I tried it on 2 different partitions with OS 10.6.1 – it will crash after a few seconds.

    Both problems, the crashes and the empty bounce could be related to an possible incompatibility between DP 6.02 and OS 10.6.1. and I will contact MOTU to find out more about this.

    Please let me know if you encounter the same problems with your bounce in OS 10.5.8.

    I just installed DP7 and made a quick test. Bounce work fine in this case with Snow Leopard. Maybe it was a problem in DP 6.02 vs SL.
