    Hi,

    VSL PRO looks promosing, but can i use all my memory on mac pro with leopard (no snow leopard) ?

    Is there some PDC build in ?

    64 Bit - Leopard = no

    If 64-bit were possible on Leopard we would have had it years ago (that's meant as a fact not as a snotty comment lol).  We would have beat up VSL for not writing it a long time ago lol!

    Thanks for the reply. I was confused because the website says it's full 64 bit etc.... and the minimum requirements are 10.5.

    Any news about PDC ? Or it  just works.

    I don't know where you are getting this from. Leopard is fully capable of running 64-bit applications, addressing the full memory. Snow Leopard is NOT needed.

    Regarding delay compensation - it is fully implemented and works fine. It is even adynamic one, meaning that if you change the host buffer size, the delay compensation will correct itself after the next play/stop cycle.

    Thanks Martin, that's wonderful news. I'm happy that i do not have to upgrade to snow leopard to have access to all my mac's memory.

    Also great about PDC.

    You're not serious about this?  Do you have any idea how many years we ahve been reading on this very forum that it's not capable or is to much work, or this or that?  Here is one link of many I can post links too.

    If it could and is so easy that you've done it now, why have we waited so long?  Sorry but your answer makes it sound like, "umm sure it can see we're doing it" after years of not doing it, and saying it can't be done.  This is news to me.  Even if you google this topic, you don't get but complaints of how it's not "true 64-bit".  I can't even think of one vendor I use or any of my friends that has written true 64-bit applications for OS X 10.5 (until all of a sudden now they have made their Snow Leopard versions compatible with Leopard).

    I don't even think it matters anymore, I am just mind boggled that all of a sudden it's so simple and happening.

    We have other dependencies besides just the operating system in itself; hence the delay.

    Well regardless it's nice to have this feature finally :).  Also glad to know regular leopard can handle it.  As I was forced back due to audio drivers.  Sorry for misleading anyone on this :).
