  • VE Pro: Cubase Bounce & Server Instances

    Hi,

just tried this sexy piece of software and it works quite well!

    Two questions:

    1.

When bouncing a track in cubase that uses an VE Pro instance over LAN (Kontakt2 is this the problem?) some notes appear to be cut off.

This does not occur when bouncing in realtime. Did anyone experience this problem?

    2.

When I start VE Pro Server on my second DAW I always have to add a new instance.

Can I automate this process that a saved instance (including project file) is loaded when the server is started?

    Thanks in advance!

    Kindly,

    Justus

  • I can't help you on your 2nd question but regarding your first...

I had an issue like this in Sonar when I was working on a 9 minute plus piece.  For me the solution was to undo the bounce and bounce it again.  The second bounce worked just fine.  I don't know if this will help you and i know it's a pain in the a$$ to have to rebounce your tracks but if you archive or turn off the other tracks that are not being bounced that will speed up the bounce process.

    Good luck

  • Thanks Jasen!

Just to clarify: I'm speaking of Cubase's audio mixdown function.

  •  Dear michael_12374,

thank you very much for your kind words about Vienna Ensemble Pro. We appreciate it :-)

    Regarding your questions:

    1) Does this only happen with Kontakt 2 or does it also happen with Vienna Instruments?

    2) Here´s a solution: just add an instance in the Vienna Ensemble PRO server and save it as a Metaframe (.mframe). Now you can start this Metaframe first and connect to it.

    Kind regards,

  • Thank you!

    1. Kontakt3

    2. I'll try that!!!
