I just finished my Jazz piano Trio, a standard called "In a sentimental mood" using my new Vienna Imperial (close position), VSL upright bass and the downloadable Jazz drums (Brushes multi patch), all programmed in Logic 9, hosted by VE Pro.

  • Amazing!

Nobody would guess these are samples!

Na to programm the drums so alive and varied is not a small task.

I need to listen in the studio to filly appreciate the sound quality. It is just once in a while I feel that the upright bass produces too many bouncing string noises. Sure it is part of the game but .....

  • Really nice! As said. Without knowing I would never think that these are samples.

  • Good job. If this were a demo for the jazz drums, I'd be sold. Too bad they're not available anymore. :)

  • i really feel this track. maybe a little bit more drum-action...

  • BTW - I was so fond of this piece that Christof and I agreed to re-mix it, using Vienna MIR. This new version will be published soon as demo-track for the upcoming Studio/Soundstage RoomPack.

    Kind regards,

yes, you are right that there could be some more variation in the drum part, it is a bit static, but hey, the drummer is a 95 years old legend...

    and VERY tired😉
