  • Renaming Kontakt 3 Channel Strips in VE Pro

I'm not able to rename the Kontakt 3 channel strips in Kontakt's mixer window while inside VE Pro. Normally you'd double-click on the name to rename it. Is this occurring elsewhere or solely with me? Is there a way to do this that I am unaware of?
    Thank you for the input.

  • You have to doubleclick the title in the channel strips (column on the left) to change their name. When doubleclicking on the name in a mixer strip it will open the plugin's editor instead.

    Hi Karel,
Thanks for the reply. I could be wrong, but I don't know if we're thinking of the same thing. I'm referring to the channel strips inside Kontakt 3, not the channel strip Kontakt is on in VE Pro.

  • Ahhh. Sorry. Let me check this.

  • Works fine here.

How are you doing it then? The standard doubleclick on the channel name on the channel? Or when you go to "Conf." and change it in the box window? Both my VE Pro computers are not allowing me to change it either way.
    Thanks!

  • I thought there was something different too. The renaming on the mixer strips won't happen until you "reset out map". thats for sure. I also get some strange things with certain letters like"f". It s like it's trying to do something in VE. hope it helps, M

  • works fine here as well. I tried "f" and most other letters - worked without resetting the out map. Iteted it with the Kontakt interface linked and decoupled - works the same. I'm using Kontakt 3.5.

You could try to open the channel configuration (Conf. button) and rename it there.
