  • SOLVED Can't install the content!

Hello! I recieved yesterday the "vienna symphonic special edition bundle". Just transfered the licences and installed the software. Now I'm going to install the content but it doesn't work. Tried to install from DVD but it cancels the installation at disk number two. I also copied the files to the harddisk and run the installation with the same effect. I got a message something like "installation failed (files corrupted?)" Is there any trick or something else to install the library? Greetings Ralf Richter By the way, the specs of my system: Intel Pentium Q6600 Abit IP 35 XE Pro 8 GB DDR2-800 TeamElite RAM Win7 Prof. x64 Focusrite Saffire Pro 26 I/O Interface

  • Tried to install the content on my Win XP Computer. Reslut: Same problem. Installation aborted at the second disk. Can't understand where there should be a problem.

  • Sounds like a corrupt disk.  I'd try copying DVD2 one more time and install locally from HD.

Failing that contact support @ vsl.co.at or your local distributer to ask for replacement media.

  • Just tried to copy the content to HD. But nether the special edition nor the special edition plus is able to get installed correctly. In both cases the installation stopped with the second disk.

  • Tried the installation with my macbook. Same effect! Installation aborted at the 2nd disc. Copied the content to the HD of the Macbook and installed from HD. Also aborted at the content of the 2nd disc. Greetings Ralf Richter

  • Summary: 3 different Systems (Win7, WinXP, MacOSX1.4) // Installation from DVD and HD tried // 2 different installer versions // 2 different Bundles (Vienna Special Edition / Vienna Special Edition Plus) // everythings works fine, except the content installation (abort at 2nd DVD) // only thing that's constant -> eLicencer // -> But the licences seems to be fine // Where could be the problem?

Broken DVD`s are extremely rare......Does it help to clean the DVD with a soft cloth? I´d also recommend to install the latest Vienna Instruments software which can be found here.

    /Regards,

  • I'm using the latest software. The surface of the DVDs is clean and seems flawless. There also was no error while copy the files from DVD to HD. And in this case the 2nd DVD of the special edition bundle AND the 2nd DVD of the special bundle plus had to be broken. Questionable if this would be the reason.

  • Now it seems to work. Installation from DVD via Macbook to the hostcomputer with ethernet network. The only thing: Installation -> estimated time: 23:45 h * taking some coffee for a long long night. Greetings
