    Though using Altiverb for some years now, I still don´t know, how to handle that small button in the "Damping & Gains" - Direct - Area, cause it changes the sound so dramaticly. Here´s an example with the VC-8_stacc, using Konzerhaus Vienna 24,6 m (first flat, then fully IR):

    Is this realy the way, I want the direct part of my Celli to sound?!? It is loosing all of it´s bass sound. Am I doing something wrong by turning this knob fully IR? (Miklos Power, who is a mixing genius, told us to do so.)

    If I turn the knob fully IR, do I need to turn the Mix-Button to a smaller value and not to 100 %?

    So many questions! Please help me to understand this little button!!!

    I have the same problem. I'm using altiverb through auxs too. It sounds phasey and strange when I use the IR color. I wrote on the altiverb site , but the tech just said it was how it was meant to be. I too have no dry sound going through only the direct when using it as an insert. 

    No help Im afraid, but you're not alone with this confusion.

    Nobody? Maybe someone could recommend a good forum for this issue? The audioeaseforum doesn´t realy help.
