Any update of the Vienna Choir release?

  • Also patiently awaiting more information...

  • I am also full of suspense if there is an release before chrismas:) More infos would be great

  • Any news?  The email announcement stated before the Holidays -- getting close......

  • Heehee, they didn't say WHICH holidays. :-)

Hmm, I should look up Austria's holiday schedule on the 'net...

  • There are several things I'm considering purchasing and I'm holding out for this...still not even an audio demo out.

It has me thinking also.  I have a good choir library with voice builder that I really like but can't seem to use it with Ensemble-Pro and have issues (locking up, etc) when I'm using Ensemble and my choir within the sequencer.  It only seems to be a problem when I'm using VI Libraries.  None of my other Virtual instruments seem to have a negative impact with it.

I was thinking that the probability of not having issues would be high if I purchased the VSL Choir when using the VSL orchestra.  Shame that I would have to shuck out big bucks just to keep things stable not to mention increasing my start-up time that is all ready ridiculous for copy protection scanning due to the increase library count......

  • So painfully quiet.  'naked' demos is all I need to buy. :)

Yes, me too! Play doesn't play too well with Logic. I find VSL much more stable than the Play au plug-in. Also it's supposed to be 64 bit but it just loads up the Logic virtual memory as I add samples.

I suspect the guys in Vienna are still tuning the choir - they can be a bit of a handful on the pitch front.

I find the tuning on the soprano choir.... "adventurous" but I guess in the end it helps with perceived realism!!

    Hey Chuck,

Are you talking about Eastwest Symphonic Choir?  I find that if you keep your choir parts separate from any project involving VE and import the choir tracks as raw audio tracks it really cuts down on the stability issues.

  • Yes Jasen..... That's been the approach I've been using.  Would be nice if it all worked together though without having to take the extra steps.  I guess, virtual instruments between various manufactures are like countries in the world -- not all of them can peacefully get along [:(]

    Same here!

  •  This is what it says now "Our next major collection is on the horizon, slated for release early in 2010"

    So its delayed it seems.

  • Bummer.

Upsetting. Maybe a Christmas carol or something made with the Vienna Choir would be a nice demo...

That almost sounds like a planned release during NAMM.....

  • During NAMM would be good.

Of course, this means immediate shipping not just another annoucement. We've had announcements since 2006.
