  • VSL with G-player?

    Hi!
I'm planning to migrate from PC to Mac. Years ago I bought the Orchestral Cube (First Edition) for Gigastudio.
Is there anybody who tried this with G-player? Is there a way to route the Performance tool for G-Player?

    regards

  • I had the exact same question and just asked the folks at G-Player a few minutes ago. The answer:

There is no built in performance tool but you can still use the VSL performance tool with G-Player. The VSL performance tool is a standalone application that processes the MIDI notes and send the MIDI results to a player such as Gigastudio or G-Player.

So it looks like G-Player is very much an answer to GS users' woes. Additionally, they said that the standalone version of G-Player can be used on an x64 PC (and not just Macs) which means it can theoretically take advantage of up to 128Gb of RAM. You'd need to have an ASIO-enabled sound card for that.

So G-Player it is...for now. Not bad for $149: http://www.soundlib.com/gplayer/
