  • Problem with Installation

Hello, We are having troubles with installing Vienna Special Edition on Apple MAC OS 10.4.11. The product is registered and the authorization process was confusing because there was no default folder into which the Instrument Library would be installed. After we installed into an application folder, the installation seemed to have worked; all the installed files appeared with the names such as SpecialEdition097.dat but we were not able to hear any sounds from a Vienna Instruments Standalone Applications, although the on-screen keyboard detected MIDI in from our hardware keyboard. We also tried installing the Vienna Instruments Library into the Shared - VSL Custom Data, as a part of the manual hinted, which resulted in the same problem. The goal is to use the VSL with Overture 4.1. Please guides through the necessary processes to make this work. Thank you so much. Philip and Milica

    Hi Philip and Milica,

sorry to hear you´re having troubles!

We actually advice to install the sample content on a separate harddrive (not the system drive), for better performance. You can always copy the sample content onto a different harddrive, of course.

Please make sure that you are using the latest eLCC and the latest VSL software.

If you are moving your sample content, you need to "show" the Directory Manager where to find the data. This is best shown in this video tutorial.

    Hope that helps!

    Best,

    Paul
