    I have downloaded the demo of Vienna Suite, and it works fine in Logic Pro 9.  But when I tried opening Final Cut 6.0.6, I have received a number of different errors, and Final Cut will not open.  I've had to uninstall Vienna Suite.  Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

    Myself and at least one other user mentioned this problem here before but it was never addressed. 

    IIRC, Karel, it is a syncrosoft licensing error.  Our workaround at my business has been to move all the VSL component plugs out of the component folder so we could work in Final Cut Pro.  We then move them back into that folder to work in Nuendo.

    Anyhow, I'm glad this was noticed this time.  I won't be at my station until Monday if you have any more specific questions. Please do look into this.  Moving these plugs back and forth several times a day is a real pain.

    this problem was adressed here in our forum and in the Apple forum, it is a known issue with FCP:

    The easiest way to go around it is to deactivate the AU plug-in´s before using Final Cut Pro. To do so you can use "Audio Unit Manager v.1228" from:

    http://www.audiofile-engineering.com

    The prblem is that app doesn't work very well, and it crashes on OS 10.6.  I also notice from their site that Audiofile Engineering don't make it anymore.

    I imagine the number of people to have Logic and Final Cut running on one machine is quite high.  Waves, UAD, Spectrasonics, Rob Papen and many other leading plugin manufacturers don't have these compatibility issues.  I think its down to VSL to sort this out and fix the bug, wouldn't you agree?

    Hello friends,

    I had and have the same problem. Whenever I re-install or update the Vienna Suite Final Cut gets stuck when loaded. But I found out that if I always press the ok-bottom that announces a problem and leave Final Cut it is scanning every plugin but after about 8 hours I´m through and Final Cut opens. After that precedure it opens as usual. This is crazy because one has to got through this again when ever he updates the Suite. Anyhow on my Mac Pro 2.66 from late 2006 it works. But I have to say that this a terrioble bug and should be fixed

    Exact same specs as yours, JK, and I do have the problem.

    So what is the difference?

    Good question.  I have the latest Vienna Suite build:  1445.  I don't know what else to check.

    Yeah.  We'll just have to wait.  They sent me a beta but it didn't fix it.
