  • Vienna Ensemble Pro in Digital Performer 7.1 question

Hello. I know this is a DP7 issue but I ask here if someone knows a solution. When I try to use Freeze Audio Tracks to record, all the instances of VEPRO close in the guest computers and reload. When DP7 starts recording the Guests VEPRO didnt complete reloading the sound bank so the recording is unusable. Also if I have to make some changes in the audio configuration happens the same, but only have to wait till the sounds reload. Thanks!!! Fernando PS: I love VEPRO!!!!

  • I haven't tried it yet, but my guess is you can't freeze MIDI/Audio tracks from another machine. DP is using the host machine's processor to freeze the tracks off-line, that is, not in realtime. The secondary machine has no way of knowing that this is happening.

The solution would be to record the tracks to DP manually in realtime, by setting up a buss input for the audio coming back from the other machine.

  • Yes it can freeze it, but I dont know why VEPRO closes and reload. When DP7 starts recording VEPRO didnt finish reloading the banks so half of the recording sounds incomplete. Anyway I can record it but Freeze its faster. Thanks! Fernando

  • Hmmm.. well that's cool. [Y]
