    Hello Tom

Welcom in the Family of VSL.

Let me ask a question back:

From where did you got this code 34DF 34DF...?

Normally we have to register a library in the user area at VSL (Software in your case).

The the registering-program creates a number afterwards...

which you have to put into the licencer-Software (Licence Control Center).

  • Thank you for your fast reply.

Sorry this was just the example of the code .

I downloaded the latest version of the elicenser (I already have the Vienna Extend Library therefore also the Key and I had an older version of the elicenser)

I purchased the soprano choir (download version is already registrated),updated the elicenser (as the confirmation email suggested me)

and then I put in the activation code 0240 80WF IUXP UAPF RSFU HA00 .....

It broke up in between so I used the "repair button" to fix the problem. after that it said that there were no problems found.

But it didn´t work before and now eather.

It says "übertragung schwebend" What means that the transfer is not succsessful.

    anything else i can do???

    Thank you

    Tom

  • Hi Tom

Could it be a Firewall or another Security-Problem which stops a smooth transfer?

If you are able to do that give the licence control centre the "full rights"... or stop the run of the security software for the short moment of the transfer.

Further, if you are on Windows then start the Licence-Control-Centre as the "Administrator".

Make sure, that the Licence Key isn't full.

Try to download/repair the  Licence on another PC/MAC.

The only thing you have to do is first: Install the Licence Controll-Centre on the planned PC/MAC

For more solutions on the MAC-side you need to wait on another user with exepriences.

Usually, the Repair-Function reloads all the corresponding Licences again into the key - without any problems.

    Good Luck

    Beat

  • Dear tommyb,

in case that the problem with eLCC persists, please send a screenshot of your eLCC main window to support.

    Best regards,

  • Hi,

I face the exact same problem trying to download a license for the SE Plus standard library. I've tried on both a PC and a Mac with the latest version of eLCC installed. Each time it takes a heck of a lot of time before it either says "download failed" or simply crashes. I also can't run a database update or I get the same error. I noticed once it said something like "could not connect to license server". Could it be that this license server is going through some technical issues at the moment?

    Thanks,

    Vincent

UPDATE: I tried over and over again and finally it worked. Nothing seems to have changed on my part, therefore it tends to confirm the thesis of a malfunction on the license server part.

  • Just to add from personal experience - I too, have had nothing but problems trying to license libraries. Every time, it initially fails. I then run the recovery process and it then fixes up the problem...but only after I reboot my computer. By contrast, I've never had any problems downloading licenses to an iLok. I realize that this isn't a VSL problem but rather an eLicenser problem. Still, it's very annoying.
