I'm curious as to whether or not this is possible with Vienna Ensemble Pro.
Scenario:
-Joe plays X software instrument in Logic 9
-Joe and Steve both have X on their respective machines
-MIDI data from X is routed to Ableton 8 on Steve's machine
-Live audio from X is routed through Joe's interface and sent to FOH
-Steve records and loops Joe's MIDI data and starts manipulating it, but no audio is sent through his interface yet
-Joe starts playing Y software instrument
-Steve routes the mangled MIDI-triggered audio from X through his interface
-Joe is hosting X on his machine, effectively freeing up resources on Steve's for other tasks
