VE Pro (Windows 7 64 bit) is using the CPU heavily when it is idle but connected to the host (Cubase 5.1.1 64 bit). VE Pro says 45% CPU usage but even ignoring that strange figure, the CPU is really being used a lot because its temperature goes up significantly when I connect the instance inside Cubase.
I've tried the VST3 version of VE Pro, and the "Suspend VST3 plugin processing when no audio signals are received" option is checked in the Cubase Preferences, but CPU usage is still happening.
Is there a way to prevent VE Pro from processing when it isn't receiving any notes?
