  • [CUBASE] Key editor getting very slow with VSL vst expression presets

    Hi everyone,

SInce VST exp has been released it was a great feature to me and save so much time that I can't express how grateful I am to Steinberg and Vsl. But it seems I'm experiencing a very bad situation. I have a session with about 40 tracks with Vsl expression map on each. It works perfectly but after a little while (say my session is getting bigger with tons of articulations and patterns) the key editor starts to slow down...very dramatically concerning the strings and few others..

Are you aware of this? I've discussed this on cubase.net with other people that said they were having quite the same issue with vsl exp map (including a bigger latency). I guess it's a Steinberg issue but I wanted to know if anyone else here has the same situation.

    Thx

  •  Yup - same problem here - I also made a post in the cubase.net forum some time ago.

And it does'nt have to be a lot of tracks and articulations - it will start to slow down with just a few.

The slow down is a it its most when dragging notes, adjusting lenghts and drawing controllers etc. - so maybe its a a problem with the graphical interface ( directX issue? )

  • Ok so I guess this is in steinberg hands...let's hope 5.5 will correct this!

  • 5.5 is still very slow when I have a lot of MIDI data using VST expr...

    This is annoying...

    [EDIT] Mostly for strings...
