The guys at EW are working on a fix that will make Play compatible with VE Pro. Stay tuned.

Well, that's good news!
Any timeframe (I know, you are heavily cursing me right now). I rely heavily on Play (or rather would like to, I actually don't because it chokes my system), so 1 day/1 month/100 years would indeed make a difference :)
