Does anyone else find this problem?
On large sessions only when multiple instances of VSL, Kontakt and others are engaged, any and all attempts to write fader automation of the return VI stereo track temporarily truncates the midi feed to that instrument,s in bursts and creates drop outs that sound like whole notes to half or quarter notes on the updating fader VI channel. Updating midi fader does nothing or moving the VI return remains clean. This only happens when automating a VI return channel.
Hope this is clear.
My system is: Mac '09 8 core 2.93ghz, 16GB ram, raid card, 15k spin SAS drives internal.
Tried outboard drives and same result. Tried raid 0 stripe array and same result. Performance meter shows little strain on the CPU and about 1/3 deflection on playback. While updating almost no record bar info is present meaning this should NOT be happening.
DP 5.13 is clean. All DP versions past 5 have the issue. What's changed?
Thanks
