  • Vienna Suite VST3 - sidechaining feature in Cubase

Hi, I just bought Vienna Suite and I use Cubase 5.1.1. I noticed that the Compressor doesn't have the little box "Activate Sidechain" at the top of the plugin, as others VST3 plugins have. Thus I cannot route a signal to Vienna Compressor using the sidechain feature in Cubase. BTW, there is no "bypass" button neither. Is it a bug or am I the only one with this problem ? I use version 1.2 of the 32bit plugin on Windows 7 64bits with Cubase 5 32bits. Thank you for your answers

  • It's not a bug, sidechaining is simply not (yet) implemented. :-) I will kindly ask our developers what can be done about it. Rest assured that this is a feature I want to see added myself.

The missing bypass-button in the VST3 version of VS is fixed with its most recent release.

    Kind regards,

  • This is good news. I'm looking forward for this VST3 enhancement as any VST3 plugin should have this sidechain feature implemented according to Steinberg. Thanks.

  • Hi there, Is there any chance the Vienna Suite compressor could have the VST3 sidechain feature implemented, so we could use external sidechain within Cubase ? Thanks.
