How's it going? I guess the usual question is 'When'?
Looking forward to this.

Hi Jack,
it´s going well, thanks for asking. And I´m afraid I´ll have to give you the usual answer when it comes to software: We will release the software when it has passed all internal tests and beta cycles and is really ready for the real world [:)]
And let me add that it´s simply mind-blowing what VI PRO can do, hehe!
We´ll hurry up!
Best,
Paul

Will VE Pro get update,to use VI Pro inside VEPro or not?
Hi Willy,
VI PRO already works in the current version of VE PRO.
But there will be a small VE PRO update coming, so you don't have to choose VI PRO out of the VST/AU plugin list. It will get an dedicated button, same as it works with VI now.

Will we be able to seamlessly open our current VI Frames with VI Pro?
I'd be handy as a starting point for exploration of the new software - especially since so many of us have a large number of VI's within several existing instances of VE Pro in MetaFrames on multiple computers.

VI PRO will not exchange automatically your VI instances. So all your existing templates (inside VE PRO or your host) will open with the existing VIs.
If you like to exchange any VI instance inside your template you have to open a new VI PRO instance and load there your dedicated VI preset.
All existing VI presets will be compatible with VI PRO.

Yes, that's really what I meant and wanted. That's good. Thanks.
.
I can't see however wanting to import older presets. To take advantage of the new features, we'll want to make new presets, or am I missing something?

Absoluetely right. But existing presets can be a nice and effective starting point to explore VI PRO.

With regard to time stretching, for example fast repetitions and runs, could there be an auto facility to time-stretch to current bpm? For example if the run was recorded at 120bpm but the tracks tempo is 113bpm by selecting auto the sample is automatically time stretched to the correct length.
Thanks
