  • Can we visit the VSL mothership in Vienna?

    Hello,

I'm returning to Vienna for the first time in 39 years--such a world traveler, I am. I'm so happy. Last time I was in Vienna, I was 22, a music student (36yearsago) and there were no personal computers or the VSL sample library. How did we live without these things? Thankfully, in 1971, over 100 concerts and operas at the Staatsoper and with the Vienna Philharmonic at the Musikverein kept us students occupied.

Are we allowed to visit the VSL headquarters? To see where the magic began and continues? Is the silent stage really silent--like Maxwell Smart's "cone of silence?" (sorry, you might not get that joke). I don't need a demo. I have seen Paul and Christian many times at NAMM. Not certain if I can swing by, but let me know--it would be very cool! Ich rause auf Wien in das letze woche im Juli. (bad German)

    Viel Danke.

    John

  • Paul S,

Thank you for your kind tour of the VSL facilities and Silent Stage while in Vienna. It was eye-opening to see the amount of hard work and effort that goes into every single sample that is part of the VSL libraries. One of the reasons why this library is so incredible. Thanks again, Paul. It is appreciated.
