I'm about to buy my first 64 bit machine, with a stack of RAM and hard drive space. I was going to run it as my main machine, with 32 bit instances of VEPro linking it to my older machines. The problem is that my keyboard doesn't have 64 bit drivers, so I'm either going to have to keep an XP machine as my sequencer, or buy a new keyboard.
Is there any way, if my 64 bit machine were a slave and a 32 bit machine was the VE server, of using all the RAM on the bigger machine, or will I be limited to one 32 bit instance of VE between them?
This may well be a very stupid question -sorry if it's something that's been answered many times over. I've been out of the loop for a while, with my whole studio packed down, and have nowhere to set things up so that I can remind myself how they work.
