    Why does the Directory Manager always freeze? I get the "spinning beachball" and have to force quit every time.

    This has been happening with every version update.

    Sorry for the delay... this happened before? How did you fix it?

    Did you repair permissions with DiskUtility yet?

    I didn't fix it.  I also regularly do repair permissions.

    There is no error message, just the spinning beachball. The only way out is to force quit.  It even happens at the end of installing an upgrade! I forced quit out of that, then got the message that the install was successful.

    FYI, I have a Mac Pro dual quad, 3ghz, 12g ram, OSX 10.6.4
