  • Win7 Pro or Win7 Home?

I'm wondering if there are benefits to using Win7 Pro over Win7 Home Premiun with VE Pro?

I don't need more than 16 GB of ram and don't need remote desktop either.

P.S. Sorry if i asked this in the past.

    Hi Paul,

But surely  i don't need Windows server domain to run VE Pro? I just bought 2 copies of Home Premium so i would really appreciate and answer ASAP before i install it.

I just have 2 or 3 Pc in my setup and I'm not interested aditional functions of Win7 Pro.

    Thanks.

  • I just read those wiki links(haha! I was going to say wikileaks) and from what i understand i don't need those to run VE Pro. But still, I would like to be usre before i install.

P.S. Ins't wiki great? I should have looked there first.

  • Well there's no mention of a specific windows version on the requirements page so i guess home premium will do just fine.

    Thanks.

If you're not using a huge amount of memory and don't need the networking features of Pro, then I don't see any reason why Home Premium wouldn't be OK. I went with Pro simply because I needed much more memory and wanted to future proof myself in case I needed the networking features.

Great! I don't see myself meeding these fontions at all in the future. I just need VE Pro on a few computers and that's it. I'm pretty much tech illiterate and probably wouldn't know how anyway.[*-)]

Looking foward to fillnaly setting VE Pro up. [H]
