  • [SOLVED] Bug (?) in Vienna Ensemble Pro involving pitch adjustment in VI

When I set up an instrument in Vienna Instruments I use control 88 to adjust pitch, which I control from my DAW (sonar).  So with 3 flutes drawing from the same samples, I can slightly detune them to avoid phase cancellation.  It works fine when playing back from VI.  But when I load same instrument into Vienna Ensemble Pro, the controller that should be controlling pitch says "none", as though I never programmed it.  I verified that the VI was saved before loading it into VE Pro.

I don't see any setting in VE Pro that could cause this issue.  Anyone know about this?  Known bug?

    Thanks,

  • Never mind.  I resolved it.  If I make a change in VI after I've saved the entire ensemble in VE Pro, I have to either make the change in the ensemble's instance or recreate the ensemble.  Makes sense now that I know.
