    Getting ready to buy a new Mac pro (and SATA-6 SSDs )and purchase VIenna Imperial (upgrade from Ivory and two external SATA-2 arrays).

    I don't plan on installing anything other than sample libraries on the SSDs and I'm wondering if VSL writes to drives at all. At the moment I'm using Logic 9 and Digital Performer 6.

    I understand that there are issues with SSDs related to writes and life expectancy.
