I'm thinking if you have more instances on the server it will utilize more cores/threads better but if everything is on just one instance maybe it will over load or something.

Any thoughts?
Cubase 5.5, Pro Tools 8.0.4, VE Pro, i7 920 Master, i7 930 Slave. PLAY 2.0.21. Omnisphere, RMX.

Hi - i find it depends on the host. For example, logic only lets you access 16 channels anyways.

Also, if you break it into multiple files, you can load "sections" at will.

That being said, I haven't noticed a difference in core performance either way.
