  • Mir / Sonar

Hello, I would like to buy the Mir, I already have Sonar 8.5 and I've read of problems of integration between Mir and Cubase. Does Mir work well with Sonar ? How can I have an idea of the way they are integrated? Thank you :)

  • Firstly you need to know that there are no problems with the integration of Cubase and MIR. There can't be, because MIR is a standalone and therefore by definition there is no integration. If you can be more specific about what problems you were referring to it might be possible to advise you.

  • Welcome Agostino,

thanks for your interest in Vienna MIR.

Like DG wrote above, there are no problems we know of when it comes to the connection of Cubase and MIR. They will even run happily side-by-side on the same computer provided your ASIO-hardware allows for multi-client operation.

Please feel invited to download the MIR manual from your user area. It was updated recently and now contains a whole section with detailed information on setup and integration of MIR into an existing working environment.

  • Hi Dietz, Thank you for your answer. With "ASIO-hardware" do you mean the audio interface? I have an Edirol UA-25EX, and I didn't find if it is "multi-client" or not, do you think it is? Best regards, Agostino

  • You're welcome!

Yes, I was talking about the audio interface. I may by wrong, but I seem to remember that the Edirol is not multi-client compatible, and that the latencies it supports are not powers of 2 (i.e. other values than 64, 128, 256, and so on).

    Kind regards,
