Hello VSL, Could you please consider releasing a Viol library? If you could only really release a bass Viol due to business reasons, this would be great also, but if you released a library of the the whole family with the usual articulations (legato, trills-ornaments compatible with Sibelius) it would be truly incredible and I would happily spend thousands of pounds. I'm aware the communities dislike request threads but I am desperate. Thanks for reading JS

The music for the film Kingdom of Heaven by Harry Gregson-Williams comes to mind. I am not 100% sure but in the very first piece, those strings might be a viol ensemble. No vibrato at all! And it sounds gorgeous.

Jordi Savall is an exceptional Viola da Gamba (Viol) player. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordi_Savall His recording of the music for the film "Tous les matins du monde" is superb.
