Hello VSL,

Could you please consider releasing a Viol library? If you could only really release a bass Viol due to business reasons, this would be great also, but if you released a library of the the whole family with the usual articulations (legato, trills-ornaments compatible with Sibelius) it would be truly incredible and I would happily spend thousands of pounds. I'm aware the communities dislike request threads but I am desperate.

Thanks for reading

JS

I'd greatly appreciate a viol library, too!

The music for the film Kingdom of Heaven by Harry Gregson-Williams comes to mind. I am not 100%  sure but in the very first piece, those strings might be a viol ensemble. No vibrato at all! And it sounds gorgeous.

It all depends on how you pronounce Viola. Wink

Think of Vile. Not that the sound is anything like that.

Jordi Savall is an exceptional Viola da Gamba (Viol) player.

See:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordi_Savall

His recording of the music for the film "Tous les matins du monde" is superb.
