Hi
If I am using Kontact in 64bit mode is there any reason to leave on the Kontact memory server??
Is there any advantage of using 64bit mode over using 32bit with the memory server??
thanks for the help,
David

No. KMS exists to expand memory access outside of a host's 32-bit memory address.

Well, it also exists to speed up loading from project to project so I would leave it on.

Someone suggested to me I should keep it on in 64-bit mode, so I tried it and ended up with massive core overloads and audio dropouts. Switched it off again and all was fine. Can't think of anything else that might have caused the problem. So definitely OFF for me Yes.

I turned it off as soon as I found it was on. I would venture to say the load times here are pretty much the same. If you're using another memory server such as EWQL Play on the same VEP server, use Kontakt with KMS off, for sure.
