    Is anyone using external MIDI with VEP instead of the built-in plugin MIDI? 

    Are you having any trouble when the transport of the host is stopped?

    We are using MIDI Over LAN (because Logic only allows 16 channels per AU VEP instance).

    But instruments in the VEP server assigned to MOL won't play when the host's transport is stopped.  They will start again if VEP receives some MIDI through its plugin, though.  It's as if the whole VEP audio engine pauses when the transport stops, but starts up again when either then transport starts again or it gets MIDI through the plugin.

    I wonder if this happens with regular external MIDI and not MOL.

    VEP:  Late, but not latest version Windows XP 32-bit
