  • Ivory II, VST 64bit plug in,,,,,,

I'm trying to use Ivory in Ve Pro as a 64 bit plug to save RAM in PT's (32bit!!) I pointed Ve Pro to where the VST 64 bit plugs are, and it loads fine,,,, what I can't figure out is how to show Ve Pro where the 'Ivory Items' folder is,,, which is on my F drive, (all the data, content, and settings). So,, I have the Ivory program up and ready, but can't load the content files! Is there a way to show Ve Pro where that content is, like I was able to show it the VST path??? Thanks much for any help!!! It would be cool to utilize more of my RAM and at the same time save the 4 gigs that PT's needs (and will only use until they go 64 bit). Mike

  • Hi Mike,

Hm, that´s strange. You´re saing the Ivory finds the content fine when used as a plugin in any sequencer, but NOT in VE PRO? Is it possible to launch Ivory as a 64-bit stand-alone instrument, just to check the ivory items folder?

I strongly believe that this is a setting that needs to be set in Ivory itself.

Are you using the latest version of VE PRO and Ivory?

    Best,

  • It is my understanding that Ivory (1 or 2) must be used 32-bit, since it is iLok, and there are no 64-bit drivers for iLok (yet).

I can load Ivory (1) in VE pro 32-bit server and it's just fine.

I may be mistaken re: 64-bit ilok drivers for Win7 -- but mac it's 32-bit only.

  • I sure appreciate the replies. I tried the 32 bit Ve Pro,,, but still have the same prob, in fact, I selected 'Keyset' (in Ivory), and got the infamous 'Ve Pro has stopped working' and ' Windows will try to find out why'???!!! Ivory II works fine in PT's, and I'll try the stand alone tomorrow. Maybe in setting up the stand alone settings, I'll give Ve Pro what it needs?? (But I doubt it?)I wish I had tried Ivory (1st version) with Ve Pro before upgradeing just to see if it would have worked. Oh and,,,, I do have all hardware/software up to the latest versions all the way around! Thanks again,,, and any more thoughts appreciated,,,,,,,,, Mike
