  • String runs wanted !!

Now that VSL has a great time stretching features on VI pro, seem like a new string library (sonically close to orchestral strings) made of multi note figures (including runs) would be the logic next step. [^]

  • You mean, like the string runs that are in the DVD (full) libraries?

There must be some reason the full libraries have their value...

Additionally, using various articulations, including PERF TRILL, with the speed parameter, makes for some very realistic run figures. And do this with multiple libraries and instruments for realism, and also constrain start/end of the existing runs, you can do some great work.

But I guess you need the full library for that.

  • heya,

I think a good next step would be can make possible to buy articulation 1 by 1. Peeps who feel the need to 2/3 different articulations would be happy and those who want full libraries would still can buy the full one. I know some people are very happy with the special edition and might just need some few articulations and could still buy later the full libraries if they need. Might be a good option for both vsl and users.

    Cheers Gilles

  • In theory that's a good idea. The only thing that might cause a problem though is the amount of licences you would need to be able to do that. You would probably need about 50 dongles hanging off your computer if you bought a couple of articulations for every instrument. [;)]

  • yes you are right i forgot that part lol but i am sure if the idea is really profitable to all that VSL team would find a way for make it work :P

Like make a licence called Solo Strings who separate then into violin violas cellos basses and in each instrument the list of all articulation owned but maybe its still to much idk :X
