  • Reinstalled Vienna Ensmble Pro, now library doesn't show up in player

    Hey guys,

Originally I had Vienna Enseble Pro Installed on a Snow Leopard Mac Pro to which the actual library of sounds was installed on a secondary hard drive. I got a new snow leopard mac pro computer reinstalled Vienna Vienna Ensmble Pro, put the secondary hard drive in the second slot of the new computer, and now library doesn't show up in player. I have other music software where I have the libraries installed on the second hard drive nad run them from the orginal hard drive and its their players see them just fine. I have the elicenser installed on the new machine, and it shows that everthing is active, but its like the player can't see it. What am I missing. I'm sure I'll feel pretty stupid when I find out what it is.

    Thanks in advance![:)]

  • I think you need to open "Applications > Vienna Ensemble Pro > Directory Manger" and fix the links to the libraries.

Did the hard drive come up with exactly the same name as before on the new machine?

  • It's been a while, but what is the name of the folder where the samples are, I have the standard and extended libraries of the Vienna special edition.

  • I'm afraid I don't own those libraries, so I don't know the default names of the sample directories. Of course you can name the directories however you want, so yours could well have had unique names.

If you cant find VSL sample folders on this secondary hard disk you moved over to your new machine... that will explain why your VSL libraries aren't working too well [;)]
