Stand alone, or in Pro Tools or in Cubase VE Pro always makes saving in either or 30+ seconds. That not a lot but if auto save is on which I want that adds up to very impatient composing.

This is because the sequencer is saving all states of all plugs. If you want to reduce these times, just decouple VE Pro. of course you must then remember to recouple it before you shut down the project, or none of your plugin changes in VE Pro will be remembered. DG

But I open VE Pro first...then open up Pro Tools or Cubase. I save VE Pro as a metaframe. I think Pro Tools and Cubase just saves how many outs and ins to VE Pro not acutally VE Pro data. If it did I don't know how it would bring that up. Any thoughts?

No, Cubase saves all states of all plugs. You can test this very easily yourself. Assuming that you have no instances decoupled, just start the VE Pro server, but don't load a Metaframe. then start your Cubase project. If Cubase didn't save the states of all plugs, you would get no VE Pro or samples loaded. You will find your whole session loads, so this shows that Cubase is saving everything (and thinking about it, it would be a disaster for working with any other plugs if it didn't). DG
