  • MIR eLicense problem

I installed the latest version of both the elicenser and MIR on my slave PC. I open MIR with no problem, but when attempting to load my template, an eLiceser error box appears saying "The key could not be identified: The key format is invalid"

I tried reinstalling the the elicenser with no success. Help please.

    Thanks

    Rob

    Hi Rob,

for "reinstalling the eLicenser" - which installer did you use? Don't use the "old" ones that you have installed with a previous version of MIR: Please make sure that you downloaded the latest drivers from here.

Apart form that - did you use plugins in your template that need their eLicenser attached, too? Just guessing ...

    Kind regards & a happy 2011!

  •  A Happy New Year to all!

To the subjekt: I've got the same message for some templates (and odd: two times - in german and english).

But it seemed happens only with projects builded in a previous MIR version. I was not able to reproduce it with a new builded one.

And: It has no effect. Don't press "ok" "Abbrechen" or "Wiederholen", only the white cross on red in the corner on top to the right.

MIR runs stable like a dream. No crash at all. Never at work. But I've got a crash report (loaded this template) after a wanting finish of applikation.

So if it helps, I can send this crash report to vsl.support for some investigation. We don't want to see they technicians are unemployed, right?[:D]

Again, all the best and kind regards.

  • We'll look into it ASAP. Thanks for reporting!

  •  I am experiencing the same problem (it appears to be because of the HO1 Preset 2, which appears 8 times in my template and guess what - I get 8 occurrences of the error).  Seems to be more widespread than MIR - see this thread http://community.vsl.co.at/forums/t/27521.aspx

Again, I only started getting it since installing the new release (23 December) of MIR.  However, I can reproduce at will by trying to load the Horn Preset - regardless of whether using an old or new template.

    Kind Regards,

    Nick.

  •  Ooops!? Didn't expect it's coming from vsl-library itself? Ok, will have a look to it tomorrow. Thanks for the hint.

  • To give this message to all: I sent off the crash report to vsl support. They, personally Dietz answered me immediately with very kind and candidly words. They are already working on it. It was  s u n d a y  e v e n i n g . There is nothing more to say. Thanks a lot only!

    Best

  • I did install the very latest eLicesnse driver and the most current version of theVSL plugins were scanned and ok (so it showed me on the opening window). Like I said, MIR opens fine, it's just when I try to get my template loaded is when the problem occurs. I really hope there is a solution soon, as I can't work at all on my current project as it is. I do know that you guys are looking into it though.

    Thanks

  • Rob,

I don't know if it is the same for you as for me, but I can close the dialog boxes.  I know they keep coming back, but only as many times as you have that instrument loaded in your template - e.g. 8 horns will give you 8 of each type of dialog box (16 total).  Once they are closed (using the X button), they don't appear again until you load up a new template.  Hope that helps to keep you working!

    Kind Regards,

    Nick.

  • Thanks so much for that Nick! That did it. I just assumed the dialog boxes halted the loading all together. Appreciate the input.
