  • best plan for SE+ on SSDs

I'm planning on putting SE+ on SSDs. I read that it is 311 gigs. So, would it be best to put 2/3rds of it on a 256 gig SSD and the balance on a 128 gig SSD or ????

  • it is better to have 3 x 128 GB on a Raid 0

    Are you on Mac ?

If I was you I will wait that the problems are solved. VSL is working on them

See other articles about SSD :

    .........

    SE + does not need 311 GB, I have SE + , + Appassionata, + all download ins on a raid 0 of 3 x 64 GB

  • I'm on a PC. I have to admit some ignorance here as I've never worked with Raid 0 before. However, having just watched 3 or 4 video tutorials on the subject I'm up to speed now. This brings up another question though. On the boards I've been looking at they all have 2 - 6mbs sata connections and the rest are 3mbs. Also, if one were to have additional libraries it seems you would run out of sata connections using 128 gig SSDs. How about 2 of the 256 gig SSDs (in Raid 0) hooked up to the 6mbs sata connections? That would leave room for additional libraries.

  • More disk you have faster your Raid 0 will be

If you have a Crucial C300 or C400 (coming very soon) it is course better to have a SATA III (6 gb/s) port

You can add a Rocket Raid card to have more  SATA III ports
