  • VSL and Win 7 64bit PCs

I am thinking of replacing my PC with a new one running Windows 7 (64 bit).

    - Will this setup work OK ?

    - Are there any particular issues I need to consider ?

    - Will I be able to transfer my VSL instruments and the Syncrosoft dongle to the new PC ?

    - Does anyone have any recommendations re which soundcard to use, and does the

soundcard have all the necessary drivers to run on Win-7 64bit?

    Peter

    1. Sibelius 6 is fine on W7 64bit.
    2. Syncrosoft has been updated to eLicenser, and that is also fine on W7 64bit
    3. RME always has excellent drivers

  •  Yep ! No problem here , with Cubase 6, RME 9632, VSL SE under WT 64 bit ![:)]

  •  Hi I have a problem to fix  my cubase 5 with VE3 when I just try to set up the vst expressions maps.

The problem is I can't do VE3 work correctly cos it doesn't let me load the Strings VI-Presets VST-Expression

In my cubase everything is ok or at least I think so. I can load the VSL string expresionmap perfectly.

I was watching the video from the user area and I was doing all as they say. But last step it's imposible to do cos I can't find the vienna instrument custom data in my system.

    Could you help me please?

    Many thanks,

    Dn Jay

  • Hello Dn Jay!

You can put the VSL Custom Data folder anywhere you want. It can be set up in the Directory Manager. By default it is located at Documents\Public Documents.

By the way. I recommend using VE Pro instead of VE3. You can download it here:
