  • vsl help

im a complete novice at pc music, played synths&keyboards for years.Recently been thinking of buying motif xf,then after looking through various sites ive started thinking mabye of buying a sample library, pos Vsl standard plus, but would like some advice. Can these library samples be played back useing my keyboard without having to use extra software, ie cubase logic etc. Also are these samples as good as the sound in the demos. I have an old copy of sibelius ive never taken too seriously because its only ever used the basic pc sound card which wasnt very inspiring to put it mildly. Also could anyone advise on the best software to run these librarys. Any advice very much appreciated.

  • Yes it can be blayed without any additional software.

    However there will be

     * No Reverb (except you buy VI-PRO)

     * No additional processing (which can be done over midi controllers)

SO don't expect to get the same output then in the demos, for this every note is tweaked massively

This shows you which result could be achieved with real time playing. Only one Controller (Velocity) is used in these videos, articulations are changed over different possibilities of VI-Pro
