  • pitch shift patches with curves

    Hi everyone,

Just trying to see if there's a better way to generate secondary pitch shifted patches within VI Pro. Doing a transpose + pitch bend has been the way others have accomplished this in the past, but a simpler integrated solution would seem to be transpose + pitch curve (from the humanize section). Unfortunately, SE only offers whole tone samples and the player only supports 100 cent shifts so I can't test this myself.

Curious to see if anyone has tested this with chromatically sampled libraries. And if it works well enough I'm casting my vote for a 200 range in the pitch curve editor :)

    Take care all,

    Marc

  • I second this request! :) Since the player is capable of both transposing and pitch-shift it would be wonderful to have an option to create a second and third player with a single setting-change for the instance. It's tedious to try to transpose every articulation individually or with humanizing curves. It's confusing to use transpose and pitch-bend within the sequencer.

Since it's not requiring new functions, simply a GUI addition, it "seems" like a relatively easy control to implement for additional solo instruments for smaller ensembles, or 2nd violins.

Just a thought... keep being amazing, VSL. =D
