I have a dual 2.3 PPC G5 (master), and a 6-core Westmere Mac Pro (slave). I'm running PT 7.4 HD3 on the G5, and my plan was to outsource all VI's to the slave Westmere with VEP, and move up to PT 8.0.1 on the PPC. But, I've found out that there's a nasty MIDI timing bug in that version of PT, so to avoid spending thousands of extra dollars I'm thinking about trying PT 7.4.2 and Leopard on the master.
Anyone running this setup successfully? Thank you.
