  • Setting up Velocity X-Fade to on and off on individual patches

Can this be done in the standard VI player? Say, for example, if I want it to be activated on the legato patch but not on the other patches loaded, how can I achieve this?

    Thanks in advance!

  •  By loading two instances of the player and setting it to on for the one containing the legato patches, and off for the other one that contains the other articulations. This is what I used to do, but since getting VI Pro, I don't need to. I would say that VI Pro is worth every penny for this feature alone.

Hi DG - thanks for the info. I agree that is a great feature in VI Pro - how is it achieved in the player just so I know?

  • True, i want to know that as well since this would be a feature i really need so i would buy VI-Pro !

  • On the Edit Tab of a cell you have the possibility to swith the Xfade to (If i remember correctly) On/Off/Global

    Pretty straight forward ;)

And I really love VI Pro as well

Not in general, but you have the possibility to assign a controller to the Vel XF switch - so simply turn it on when you need it, and turn it off when you don't. Always worked fine for me 😉
