    I have the Vienna key permanently plugged into my computer so I don't forget to insert it before launching Sibelius, and also to avoid possible wear caused by repeatedly putting in and pulling out of the USB port. This means that the key is lit all the time my computer is on even when I am not working on music. Is this okay or does it have implications for the key's longevity? Thanks.

    I can't answer your question, except to say that my Vienna Key has been inserted  into my computer for around 6 years.

    My oldest "eLicenser" is a SyncroSoft-dongle from Cubase SX (or even VST 5, don't remember). It's still sitting on a USB slot of my old office-machine, just in case I need quick access to basic DAW-functions. Must be there since 8 or even 10 years ...? :-)

    Does anyone know where I need to go to get a replacement vienna key. I've had mine for about 3 days working fine. I took it out yesterday and have just re-inserted it to find that it's no longer being detected and the light isn't coming on. It's not my computer as it's picking up various other USB devices. So annoying, I don't see how it could just break like that

    Have you tried another USB port?

    Hi yes I have, as well as a port on another computer, it just doesn't want to work

    OK, you need to contact support then, because another key won't help, as all your licences are on this key. They will probably ask you to return it and then send you a new one, but you will need to discuss this directly with them. There is nothing that any of us can do here.

    Sorry to hear about your problems, I'm sure they can be sorted out easily. Please contact and supply a detailed description of your system, the issue you encountered, and any additional information that could be important (like error messages etc.).
