  • Bugs with Hybrid Reverb ?

Hello, and thank's for the gift ! It's great, but I have some bugs with this reverb. To make clear, i never had problems with Vienna Suite, and rarely with the rest of VSL products (minors bugs). I work with Protools LE 8.0.3 on MacPro 8 cores 3Ghz (OSX.6.3), and I had made all my updates. And I precise : that's not a basic buffer problem... So, the bugs are : 1- When I stop music, sometime the reverb stop too, and restart. 2- When there a silence in the music : sometime the reverb stop and restart ! 3- When I change buffers, there's a lot of parasites, and I must to remove the reverb. 4- I had try to put it in the Vienna ensemble pro, and the result was a big explosion in my monitors, and a beginning of heart attack ! Is anybody else had this problems ? Thank's.

    I've small problem too.

I tried to change project settings, changed latency, installed newest ASIO4ALL version.. Nothing helps. I don't have any problems with other Vienna Suite Plugins in FL Studio. Here some examples with hybrid and with convolution reverb.

    (Win7 Ultimate x64 | 24GB RAM | i7 4 x 3.06)

By the way, I don't have this problems in cubase 6. Hybrid Reverb is realy great product! I would like to use it in FL Studio too (it's part of my workflow).

    Thank you!

  • Hello, Hybrid reverb run perfectly with "Vienna ensemble pro" and Sibelius, no bugs ! For me, the problem is only with Protools...

You may have to enable the "Use fixed size buffers" setting for the Hybrid Reverb in FL Studio if you want to use it with 0 latency.

  • I am experiencing the same problem, esp the monitor explosion and heart attack. Love the reverb though. Hopefully a fix is coming soon.

  • Yes... Waiting for the next update... I enjoy this reverb too...

  • I've had extremely stabile Pro Tools 9.0.3 (with CPTK2) and problems  started after I updated Vienna Suite to the latest version. As soon as I instantiate Hybrid Reverb or Convolution Reverb, I get  severe DAE problems. I can't even use old sessions with 2 or 3 CR instances. All is fine when I deinstall new version and install previous one.

I hope you will solve this as soon as possible.

  • Martin Saleteg - the driving force behind Vienna Suite - just informed me that the problem is fixed already. An update will be released during the next few days.

    Thanks for your patience!

I hope that RTAS optimization will be included in this update.

    It is.

One thing worth noting however, compared to previous versions of the Convolution Reverb, the new version will give much lower CPU usage with higher latency settings. Please do NOT use latency settings which are lower than your soundcard buffer size. In previous versions of the Convolution Reverb, high latency settings actually gave an increased CPU spike load. The setting is explained in the updated Suite manual.

  • Thanks ! No problems with ProTools !

  • Yes, I've had the same problem when using Cubase 6 with Vienna Ensemble Pro and Hybrid Reverb. To solve the problem, I quit Cubase 6 and reload. This usually works until I turn the computer off.

    I have an i Mac OS X 10.6.7

I just installed the last version (1.3). But the problem seems to be same ...

    Monitor explosion ... Logic 9.1.3 ... OSX 10.6.7 ... 64bit.

  • Was working fine in VEP, but just this morning tried it in Cubase 6 (Mac) and the problem recurred.

  • Yes, I've also installed the latest version of Hybrid, but the problem persists. I agree, it's great software - compare with altiverb!

I keep looking in the software download section, but there's no later version yet.

  • Hi there, same problem here - the problems seems to occur for me when I use Hybrid Reverb in combination with the Multicompressor in the latest Logic version, also 64-bit. Very annoying bug - fear my speakers are getting some damage... Thanks for solving this issue! Marco
