Hi, i have ordered 2 PC's, and today i have received the package with VEP and 1 Vienna Key. I want to set up a system with one slave (with all libraries) and one host......the Vienna key with the elicenser software must be installed only in a slave computer? it's right? or i have need to buy other vienna key for my host computer?
thanks

Welcome attla78 Smile,

You will need one ViennaKey (and VE PRO license) for each computer you want to actually load virtual instruments on.

If your master computer is "just" the sequencer, you will not need another ViennaKey, as you just connect to the Server on your slave computer.

If you want to use VE PRO on your master computer as well (loading instruments), you will need another ViennaKey, or, alternatively, a Steinberg Key.

Best,

Paul

Paul, I've been running VE pro on three PC's which have the licenses. I have been running VE pro server on my DAW (DP/Mac Pro) and loading VSL Woodwinds with only the licenses for those collections. I have not been prompted for a VE Pro license (for months now)  since I am not running it standalone but today suddenly the license controller is asking for a VE Pro licensee and I'm shut down. Can you explain? (sorry about font it just went whacky on me and don't know why)

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave,

I assume that the demo license starts on your ViennaKey expired, and you have not downloaded the permanent licenses yet.

Would you like to send some screenshots of your ViennaKeys to , so that I can take a look?

Best,

Paul

I don't think I had a demo license on my Mac Paul, just (as now) two licenses for WW's I+II extended. Now here is something interesting: I had recently removed the WW I license and moved it back to an old PC as an experiment. I forgot to move it back to the Mac but yet I have been loading those sounds and running them lately on the Mac - with no license! So I don't know what is going on. Does that mean I had must have had a demo license that was even allowing me to run a DVD collection? It must not be a coincidence that both VE Pro stopped launching and WW I both stopped loading today.

Happy to send you a screen shot of my elicenser if that will help. It just shows the WW I+II licenses. I upgraded to the latest elicenser vr today as well.

Thanks for your help!

Dave
