    Is Powercore 64bits? If not, that answers your question.

  • yes PowerCore can work with 64 bit if the latest driver is installed, i have the latest driver, so i do not understand. thank for your answers Al

  • my system is a mac book pro 13' latest product with 4 GB of ram. Al

  • on the FAQS of TC Electronics i have read that the plug-ins of PowerCore are 32 bit, this is probably the reason why. Al

  • And now the next question is : how can do when i start Sibelius 6 to choose an open the Vienna Ensemble 32 bit and not the 64 bit ? Al

  • Midi is working but no sound...

    =====================

    I have three ilicense keys with three licenses on each VEP5 & VEP 6 and Vienna Instruments.

    1) (Main computer) I run PT 2018.7 on an iMac 4.0GHz i7 with 32 GB ram (Late 2014), El Capitain 10.11.6. (Also have Logic X)

    2) (Slave 2) MBP 13" 2,5 GHz i5 with 16 GB ram, High Sierra 10.13.6 (mid 2012) Run Kontakt 6, Spectrasonics Keyscape/Omnisphere/Trillian, Toontrack...

    This is my Instrument computer and it works as itĀ“s supposed to. Recieves midi and send sound back into Pro Tools on the iMac via VEP6 server 64-bit.

    Network is setup via Eathernet-cable IP 10.0.0.9 submask 255.255.255.0. Seams to work fine.

    ======================

    This is what works  -  just to rule out what IĀ“m doing wrong!

    ======================

    3) (Slave 1) Mac Mini Server 2GHz i7 with 8 GB ram, Sierra 10.12.6 (Mid 2011)

    Since it has a Firewire-connection itĀ“s my choice to run PowerCore X8 via VE server (32-bit), but sofar no success. My aim is to to put a mixing-chain on this computer and send from PT (iMac) to Slave 1 (Mini) and back.

    To rule out that TC PowerCore X8 is working I instaciated a PowerCore synt on an instrument track and sent midi from PT to Slave 1/PowerCore and got sound back into PT (iMac). Connection established. Tried to change the instrument track to an Input track and insert a Waves LinMB stereo compressor  -  no sound getĀ“s routed to the channel. What am I doing wrong???

    I would very much like to get my TC Harmony4 plugin to work which is a plugin that uses both midi-information and sound and creates 4part harmony.

    IĀ“ve been struggling with this for quite some time now. Could you plz at least point me to the right video that adresses the routing of sound???

    ======================

    After that I will need help with my Epic license, but first I would like this problem solved.

    /G

  • After weeks of trying, I suddenly got one step further.

    I can now send sound to the Waves LinMB stereo compressor and get some kind of compressed sound back!

    When I apply TC Brickwall AU thru PowerCore I get sound into the plugin, but not out. Suggestions? The plugin only shows input signal and no output signal. Same with Harmony 4. Signal In but not Out.

  • Got everything up and running now in Pro Tools 2018.7  -  except two things.

    Prio 1) My TC Harmony4 plugin uses both midi-information and sound and creates 4part harmony. Sound in and out works as long as I put it on an Input track as Fx. But I need BOTH sound AND midi!!! How do I do that???

    It is not recognized as an Instrument which would have solved the problem. Is there somekind of workaround to get midi-info into an Input-track??? (I tried putting another working synth as Instrument and add the Harmony4 as a Fx  -  but no luck sofar...)

    ========================

    Prio 2) I still havenĀ“t figured out where to find my Epic license.

  • Hi GWA,

    I'm afraid I can't help with 1), but I have just sent you the activation code for your unused Epic Orchestra :-)

    Best,
